This amulet is two-sided, with remnants of the original blue faience covering. A museum-worthy example! Ex P. An alabaster stamp seal amulet in the form of a Benben (associated with the top stone of a pyramid) with faux suspension loop, the bottom smooth. H: 15mm (5/8"). Nicely preserved with light deposits. Ancient Nubia! c. 2nd century BC. An incredibly rate carved stone amulet of a standing deity, wearing an elaborate hairdo. This is the only Nubian amulet I have ever had, and In shoukd probably keep this one for my own collection! H: 20mm. Ex P. Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-525 BC. A lovely Egyptian amulet of the papyrus sceptre, also called a “Wadj”, carved from green Amazonite (feldspar). The plaque is rectangular in shape, and carved on one side with a naturalistic papyrus sceptre. The amulet features a suspension loop to the top and has a flat back. The amulet itself measures 23x11mm. Mounted in a custom .925 silver pendant hanger (entire pendant measures 1 1/2” high. Ancient Egypt, 2nd Intermediate Period, c. 1750 - 1570 BC. A nice Egyptian steatite cowroid scaraboid (amulet). The back is domed and the base decorated with a lovely scroll device between lotus blossoms within a linear border. 19 x 11 mm. Holed lengthwise for suspension. Lovely light blue-green tone, light mineral deposits. Ex Hamdy Sakr collection; previously in the private collection of Alex Anckonie III, acquired during his time in the Navy in the 1960's - 1970's. Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic period, c. 664 - 30 BC. A nice faience 'triad' amulet depicting Isis, her sister Nephthys and the young Horus, the main protagonists of the Osiride myth involving the murder and revival of Osiris and the birth and the triumphal revenge of his son Horus. 30 x 14 mm, with nice light bluish-green color, light deposits. Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-332 BC. A large Egyptian amulet made of turquoise faience of the air god Shu. He is depicted kneeling, with one knee to the ground and the other raised. His arms appear raised and bent at the elbows. The sun is represented between his raised arms. The amulet is pierced through the middle for suspension. H: 27mm, repaired. Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-535 BC. Wonderful carnelian Djed amulet. Exquisitely carved with beautiful detail. Dark blood-red color (darker than photo appears). Without a suspension hole this would have been wrapped within the folds of the bandages of a mummy. H: 18mm (11/16"). Ex-John Rilling collection, Orange County, CA. Mr. Rilling died in 2008, stopped collecting in the 1990’s. ROYAL Steatite Plaque of Pharaoh Amenhotep III & Queen Tiye
Ancient Egypt. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty. ROYAL Egyptian steatite plaque of pharaoh Amenhotep III & Queen Tiye, c. 1402-1365 BC. One side reads "Amenhotep" in hieroglyphs, with symbols of power; the other side reads "King's Wife Tiye" in hieroglyphs. Measures 17x15x4 mm, holed-through for suspension. Extremely well-preserved, with ancient earthen and mineral deposits in the details. Ex K. Ramage collection, Oregon; previously in the Joel L. Malter personal collection, Encino, CA, purchased in the 1980's.

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-332 BC. An excellent and very rare hematite amulet of Duamutef, one of the Canopic gods, and one of the Sons of Horus. With a jackal head similar to Anubis, this god guarded the organs of the deceased during the transition to the afterlife. Intact and perfectly preserved, with classic glossy black color. Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-332 BC. A fantastic and very rare small faience amulet of a standing Pharaoh, wearing the double crown of unified Egypt. He is shown standing, wearing classic Egyptian kilt, with both hands down at his sides. Made from green faience and carved with fine details. The figure stands on a rectangular plinth with one leg forward and a pillar at his back. He wears a false pharaonic beard and the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. A fantastic steatite scaraboid, the top engraved with a facing African head, the base engraved with the seated Pharaoh holding crook & flail, before him a small figure with front arm raised, as though in greeting or adoration. Set onto a custom .925 silver pendant hanger. Scarab L: 17mm, entire pendant measures 30mm.
