Ancient Egypt. Ptolemaic, c. 332 – 30 BC. Beautiful faience amulet of the Sothic Dog, shown standing on integral base with tail curled overhead. Ancient Egypt. Late Period, c. 664-535 BC. Faience amulet with a crisp "Ankh" stamp on bottom. The body originally depicted the ram-god Knum, the head lost in antiquity.
