6th-4th century BC. Rare, well-provenanced ancient bronze arrow-point, . Triangular blade with long tang and protruding barbs. Examples like this are found in Egypt, and date to the XXVII (Persian) Dynasty.
From the famous Axel Guttmann Collection. Reference: Christie's UK, Wednesday 28th of April 2004, Sale 5524, Lot 27. Attractive green crystallized patina, beautiful construction symmetry, bilateral edges, and a supportive mid rib. It was attached to the arrow in antiquity by way of its long tang.
