Crusader Coins of King Richard I "Lionheart" of England for Sale

Crusader England. Richard I “the Lionheart” (Richard I Coeur de Lion), King of England from 1189 until his death on April 6, 1199. Perhaps the most famous king of the Third Crusade, leading his Crusaders to victory after glorious victory throughout the Holy Land. He was later killed while besieging the castle of Châlus-Chabrol in the city of Limousin. As he walked the perimeter inspecting the defenses he was hit by a crossbow bolt just above his left shoulder. The wound became infected and Richard died soon thereafter.
