Authentic Spanish Copper "Pirate" Coins for Sale
These wonderful coins date from the 1500's through 1600's, during the "Golden Age" of piracy in Europe.
They were land-found at the site of a late Medieval seaport in Spain, where pirates were believed to have raided Spanish galleons for their riches. Although it is impossible to prove exactly who may have handled these coins, they were the standard currency at the time and have been found at known pirate sites, including the famous Oak Island site (and I have a credit on that episode of "The Curse of Oak Island" for my assistance and attribution). There are similar specimens offered below.

ONLY A COUPLE LEFT!

Recommendations for cleaning the "Uncleaned" coins shown above (CS2085G2): I always suggest getting a couple as they are all different and yield different results. I recommend soaking the coin in distilled water if you have it, in a small glass or cup. This loosens up the dirt a bit. Then take an old toothbrush and crop down the bristles so they are about 1/2 length (shorter and firmer). Let the coin soak a couple hours, take it out, wipe it off with a paper towel and some dirt should come off. Then scrub it a bit with the brush. A good idea do do it outside in natural light as it can make dust and you can better see the detail as it appears. Use circular motions to the brushing to keep the surfaces even. Wipe it off again, re-soak and repeat as necessary. It can be tough to get them 100% clean but revealing the detail is the fun part and the remaining earthen deposits can give the relief more "pop" than a perfectly cleaned coin.

Every item comes with a 100% Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.

A Copper 8-Maravedis "Cob" discovered by the guys on Oak Island, as featured in the History Channel show "Curse of Oak Island" which I am a consultant for and have been interviewed on. The island has a known history of pirates, having been a safe haven for Captain Kidd! Some of the coins I have here are among the same types, however land-found at the remains of a seaport in Spain. Don't miss the show! It was one of my favorites long before they called me for an interview
